As well as being one of the world’s most successful footballers David Beckham, OBE, has played a crucial role as Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. So we’re delighted that he’s joined #TOGETHERBAND in support of Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. As he tells us in his exclusive #TOGETHERBAND interview, the health of children all over the world means a huge amount to him.

Over the past 13 years he’s worked with UNICEF using his voice and influence to raise awareness and affect change. Notably launching the ground-breaking initiative 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund, to protect millions of children around the world from danger. Here, he tells us why he’s supporting Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.

Why have you chosen to support Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being?

Being part of this campaign is important for me because our kids are the future. I’m very lucky to live in a city, in a country, that the kids can have a great meal, they can drink fresh water, they can look after themselves. We’re very fortunate that we have that. One of the things that I’ve always been focused on is making sure that other kids have that around the world. That’s what’s important. I want my kids to be able to understand that they are very fortunate that they have that, but other kids around the world don’t. I will continue to fight for that and I will continue to do the work that I do for the Seven Fund, for UNICEF and for this #TOGETHERBAND campaign because it’s important.

'I'm sharing my #TOGETHERBAND with LeBron James'

Who will you be sharing your #TOGETHERBAND with?

The person that I’m going to share my #TOGETHERBAND with is my good friend LeBron James. I know that him being part of this campaign will be not just inspiring for him but inspiring for young kids that are looking at great athletes and wondering “how can I be the next Lebron James?”

I’m also sharing my #TOGETHERBAND with my eldest son Brooklyn because he’s just beginning his journey as a young photographer, and I know for him to be part of this campaign will be really inspiring.

100% of profits from the sales of #TOGETHER products go to charities that advance the Sustainable Development Goals. Find out more here.
